Freedom of Speech

Freedom of speech: Even to prisoners

First Amendment, Freedom of speech, Bill of Rights, Clause1
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech"

People around the world all should have the freedom of speech. People should be able to speak their minds and not be put behinds bars for it, even if some people do not like it. That does mean people can go everywhere just saying anything they want to people. That is when they could be arrested because that is considered a crime.

This political cartoon does not demonstrate First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution in action, but it shows that anybody should be able to speak even if they are incarcerated. They may have lost some of their natural rights, but that does not stop them from their freedom of speech.

The world would not be right if people do not have the freedom of speech. Speaking our minds is what helps our nation move forward. This political cartoon is a good resource to look at because it shows that everybody deserves the right to speak, even if they are in prison. I think that government should make sure that everybody rights are served in prison (at least the freedom of speech).
