First Amendment, Freedom of Assembly, Bill of Rights, Clause 1
"The right of the people peaceably to assemble"

Arizona's Governor, Jan Brewer, makes a new immigration law. The laws says that the police can check anybody being suspected as an illegal immigrant and can report them to be deported from the state of Arizona. The law basically states that it is a crime to be in the state illegally. Legal immigrants also have to carry documents showing that their legal. Many People have been protesting against this new immigration law at the Arizona Capitol.

This article demonstrates First Amendment, Freedom of Assembly, Bill of Rights, Clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution. People have the right to assemble. This article demonstrates that people can assemble and protest against anything they think is unfair as long as it is not threatening.

If people do not assemble and protest against the government and just take what the government is throwing at them, then the world would not probably be as equal and fair as it is today. People can all agree on that the government is not always perfect when it comes to making "fair" laws. So if the government does that, then somebody has to go against it and protest.
